Metalos is pioneering a novel governance system called Futarchy. Our vision is to create the most efficient and value-driven governance system in DeFi, solving the critical issues that plague traditional DAO governance.

The Problem with Traditional Governance

Traditional DAO governance models suffer from three main problems:

1. Voter Apathy: Most token holders don't vote, leading to decisions made by a small, unrepresentative group.
2. Popularity over Merit: Simple "yes/no" votes often become popularity contests, failing to capture the financial impact of a proposal.
3. "Cheap Talk" Governance: Upvotes and forum posts require no "skin in the game," making it difficult to gauge genuine support.

The Futarchy Solution

Futarchy transforms governance from a popularity contest into a market for ideas. Instead of voting, users trade on the outcome of proposals in a prediction market. This system surfaces the best decisions through financially-backed conviction.
